YARN SUB SUGGESTIONS
If you're looking for a yarn substitution, Patty has come up with a few yarn subs:
- For a cotton/animal fiber blend try Lana Grossa Ecopuno or Lana Grossa Gomitolo Puno
- For a 100% wool option try Valley Yarns Valley Superwash Sport
HOW TO SUB THE RIGHT AMOUNT
To make sure you order enough yarn, take the number of hanks you need of Granville and multiply by 167yds. Then divide that by the yardage of the yarn you are subbing.
For example, if you want to knit the large that requires 7 hanks of Granville ➤ 7 x 167yds = 1169yds. Then if you would like to sub the Valley Superwash Sport at 153yds per ball ➤ 1169yds / 153yds = 7.6 balls. So you would then buy 8 balls (or 9 if you want extra for swatching and to adjust the pattern).
