Perfect for baby blankets

I am making a baby blanket out of it, and it works up amazing. I converted the Rosebud shawl from Tin Can Knits into a square baby blanket. I was looking for a washable cotton yarn, and this fit my criteria. It’s still in progress. Beautiful stitch definition.

Great color selection for projects

I'm using the Sarasota yarn to make a tote bag with multiple granny squares. I like the color selection. I am having trouble with loose threads when I am doing double crochet stitches. I think it is because I hold the yarn too tight. I plan to use a whip stitch through the back loops.

Cascade Yarns Sarasota Worsted has a soft feel and easy to work with. The color is very consistent. I highly recommend this yarn if you’re looking for an easy care cotton/acrylic worsted yarn.

The yarn feels nice, but it is very loosely spun so that it comes apart a lot. Also, there are knots in the skeins where they attached new yarn. 1 - 2 of the knots are in each skein.

Soft and beautiful yarn for summer

The yarn is so soft and the color is beautiful. It is a beautiful shade of green/blue and will be great for summer. I will be making a sweater with lacy sleeves.

Not worsted weight, colors misleading

The yarn is not worsted weight. It's called Sarasota Worsted, but it's a #3. I got what was supposed to be a charcoal/dark grey and a silver, but the charcoal is so light that I thought it was the silver initially. The colors are also nowhere near what they present. It's completely useless for my purposes. I use it for a blanket.

Disappointed but hopeful for future use

I thought perhaps that the Cascade Sarasota might be a better quality of cotton than what I have been able to find locally. St. Louis is down to Hobby Lobby and Michaels, which don't have quality fibers. Your sale on the Sarasota is what drew me. However, the yarn itself is less than what I had expected. It splits easily, which slows me down. It's just OK. I was going to make a light summer cardigan, but moved on to something else. I haven't used the Sarasota since. I'm sure I'll use it for...

Dear Julie, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your honest feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the Cascade Sarasota yarn didn't quite meet your expectations. I completely understand how frustrating it can be when a yarn splits easily, especially when it slows down your progress on a project. We really appreciate you explaining what you were looking for and what drew you to the yarn in the first place. Feedback like yours is incredibly valuable, and I'll make sure it's shared with our Product Team and the manufacturer for review. I hope you're still able to create your light summer cardigan, and that the finished project turns out beautifully despite the challenges you've experienced. Thank you again for helping us improve, and we hope we'll have the opportunity to provide a yarn that's a better match for your expectations in the future. Not acceptable for baby blanket

This yarn is not acceptable. It splits, tangles, is crunchy, twists, and knots. I have bought numerous amounts of Cascade Yarn in the past and I have always been happy with it. I use it for a baby blanket. I do not recommend this yarn at all!
