All Tied Up from Hooked For Life is extra wide at the top so you can tie it around your shoulders, leaving your hands free to bike, antique, or do whatever is your free time activity of choice without worrying about your beautiful shawl getting mangled. Its unique construction came about because I hate to sew seams! This shawl grows organically from bottom point to top edge with only two small seams to sew at the end. If you are looking for lacy and delicate, or are a much smaller person than I am, use the pattern as written with a lighter weight yarn and appropriate hook.

Finished Measurements: 28” tall from bottom of the center point to top edge; 60” wide along the top edge. Please note the shaping on the schematic, and it is not a simple triangle.
Yarn Requirements: 880 yards worsted weight yarn, such as Valley Yarns Wachusett (70% Merino Wool/ 30% Cashmere; 50g/163yds)
Hooks: Size I (5.5mm)
Gauge: 12 sts and 6 rows = 4” in pattern stitch

Note: for a smaller, lighter weight shawl, you may use 625 yards of light worsted weight yarn with the same crochet hook. The gauge will change to 16 sts and 8 rows = 4” in pattern stitch.
