Product Details
Malabrigo Sock has beautiful, luminous color adorning a fingering weight yarn so soft, you'll be tempted to use it for lace projects as well. The superwash Merino fiber has a slight sheen that will take your breath away, making this yarn perfect for any special gift.
Note: You will need approximately 400 yards for a basic pair of socks for an average women's size.
Malabrigo Sock is produced in dye lots of 5. Any order for more than 5 skeins will be of mixed dye lots. Some colors do not have any dye lots.
Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are natural and may vary from skein to skein. There may be differences between pictures shown and the yarn you receive. To ensure the best results for your project:
- Buy enough yarn for your entire project at one time.
- When using hand-dyed yarn in your project work two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.
If you have any questions or concerns about hand-dyed yarn, please contact Customer Service.

I have had good luck with this yarn in the past, and have only once had to return a skein that was so far from what I expected that I couldn’t keep it. I bought “land of Oz “ expecting a shimmering combination of gold and silver. What I received was a truly ugly yarn looking like drops of garish yellow paint on a dirty asphalt sidewalk. I Received excellent service when I returned it. In ten years of ordering from WEBS this was the only time I ever had to make a return. If you are ordering this yarn, just expect to be surprised. Sometimes the surprise is delightful, sometimes not so much.
This is a lovely yarn, but honestly the yarn that arrives looks quite unlike what I see on my computer screen. Sometimes that’s just fine, other times it’s a disaster. So far my best luck was with the color “solis,” which is a bright blue green color with only slight variations . I am using it to make a color work sweater pattern, inspired by the Alice Starmore coral reef pattern. Solis will be the water color and “toy soldier,” a dark brick red with slight variations will be the fish swimming along. The swatch looks great.

Lovely colors, and a lovely soft yarn. But expect to be surprised when you open the package. The photo on your computer is nothing like the reality, and there is a huge variation with this yarn. Don’t delude yourself. Be reasonable.
I spent money but got colors that don't resemble the photos. It's infuriating. Like flushing money down the toilet.
This is one of my favorite yarns to knit with. I have designed my own hand warmers and this is the yarn I use for them.
I love this yarn for socks. It feels good when knitting, and in wearing the socks. I use size 2 needles to knit socks that I wear hat night to keep my tootsies warm!
Just what I needed and quickly arrived to help me finish this woven scarf.
