*This class fulfills the Non-Knitting Elective Requirement for WEKP.
Crochet stitches can vary quite a bit depending on how you pull up your loops. Solomon's knot, also known as the lover's knot, is a fascinating stitch that creates an open, lacy texture, making it perfect for summer shawls. Materials like wool, alpaca, and silk offer a great drape and just enough warmth to keep off a slight chill. In this techniques class, students will learn how to make the stitch by creating a swatch while starting a versatile pattern that can be customized to any desired size. We'll also cover adding an edging and finishing techniques for lacy work.
For the comfort and safety of our students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during in person classes and workshops, and masks are available upon request.
