Beautiful yarn to work with.
Pretty colour, as it looked online, but very coarse and scratchy! Was buying it for a child cardigan and it wouldn't have been acceptable bc so scratchy, so i had to return it. Shouldn't be advertised for clothing.
Lovely soft wool. Shows off a cable nicely. Haven’t finished the sweater yet so I’m not sure how it will block, but so far I’m loving it!
This yarn is great to work with and not too expensive. I'm also a fan that they had the exact color I was looking for (Sour Cherry). My sweater is coming out great!
Soft but substantial and easy to handle and work with. I'm using this yard for both a sweater and hats and I'm very happy with it.
There are lots of colors available. It’s superwash, so my uneducated friends won’t shrink it. It’s soft!
Beautiful wool !
My son has worn his sweater in the bedrock washable 100% wool and it has held up perfectly. No pilling!
This is the 3rd jumper (pullover sweater) that I have knit using Ultra Wool and it definitely won't be my last. Honestly, it doesn't feel like much in the skein, but it is forgiving to knit with, incredibly versatile as far as gauge, and - once washed and blocked - it softens and takes on a delicious softness. The range of colours makes it a great choice for colourwork and the heathers look like "the expensive stuff" when worked with allover ribbing, cables &/or lace. I will continue to use it for both dressier sweaters/jumpers and for everyday "throw on and go favorite hoodie" comfort. It has a stretch & bounce that guarantees a place on top of the stack in the drawer. I turn a pillowcase inside out (so the dust bunnies inside don't invade) pop the sweater in, tie a knot in the pillowcase and chuck it in the wash in cool water with light spin. I fluff it in a cool dryer and lay it flat to dry. It rarely snags (in spite of my crazy life) and pilling is minimal -even after many wearings. Definitely my go-to for gift knitting, but also for my own personal wardrobe staples.
