A pretty self-striping yarn with a long color repeat makes Linda Permann's Stellar Beret shine. Based on the classic ripple design, with puffs for added texture, this pattern works up quickly with a skein (or less!) of sock yarn.

Finished Measurements: Beret measures 10.5"/26.5cm in diameter at widest point. Head opening measures about 16"/40.5 cm unstretched but will stretch to fit a 22.5"/57cm head circumference.
Yarn Requirements: Approx. 195 yds/180 m of sock weight yarn
Hook(s): Size F-5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook
Gauge: First 6 rounds of hat worked (and blocked) measures 5.5"/14cm in diameter from point to point, and 4.5"/11.5cm in diameter between points.
