WEBS Exclusive!

Norah Gaughan Barnhardt is a stunning woman’s knitted pullover featured in Valley Yarns Wachusett, but it can also be knit in Amherst. If you prefer a shorter style, there are also instructions for a 4” shorter version. So, just pick a yarn and pick a length to get started! Wachusett is a gorgeous blend of Merino wool and cashmere, named after scenic Mount Wachusett. Transform this luxurious, worsted weight yarn into stunning garments and accessories. Amherst is a worsted weight yarn that shows texture and stitch patterns beautifully and has a wide range of colors that are perfect for Fair Isle or intarsia. Note: The chevron pattern is in chart form only.

The sweater is beautiful. I would have written the instructions differently--especially placing marker at the center of chevron rather than the way it's written as it was easier not to mess up pattern on the left half, for me, with marker in the center not the chevron confines. I also would've written out side stripe pattern separately and just explained this goes all the way up both sides. I could not follow the optional binding off so I just used the standard method. Finally, pay close attention to the neck hole size as mine was much larger than I wanted (probably my fault, due to conversion of the gauge and stretch of dreamy alpaca yarn I used) and I couldn't adjust neck hole size when I figured it out since sleeves are knitted top down so I revised it to a cowl collar and it's fine.
