This is a wonderful yarn for baby sweaters and baby blankets. I used it to make the “moby” sweater by petiteknit for my little granddaughter and the project is truly a masterpiece. For this project I swatched up five different wool blend yarns from my stash and this yarn won hands down for this complicated pattern. It has excellent stitch definition, perfect for cables, and yet it is super soft. I would highly recommend this yarn to beginners, since it is easy to work with, and stands up to repeated frogging. I only wish it came in more colors. Why are there no shades of green or brown? For the Moby sweater I used the color “sand” which is a lovely beige with a strong grey undertone. An elegant choice for a stylish toddler.
This is lovely yarn for a summer baby blanket.
beautifully soft yarn for a baby blanket
I used the same wool for a temperature blanket in 2023. I am doing another one now
Soft durable washable. Good stuff. I've used the bulky and sock- both repeat purchases.
I crocheted a baby cardigan, and it came out lovely! I'd purchase this DK yarn again.
It is thinner than a DK weight The colors are nice.
Haydenville is beautiful, with a tight twist and beautiful sheen. A joy to work with!
It is really great yarn to work with. I have made four sweaters using Haydenville. It is soft, yet sturdy.
More like sport weight than worsted
